My love for anything Atatürk related is quite well documented  (I even have an Atatürk desk piece, since I miss the Father Turk’s gaze on me when I am not in Turkey), so I am obviously biased, but the Anıtkabir is probably one of my favourite buildings in the world. Fascist architecture FTW.

  2. Very cool – I had no idea his mausoleum would like that! Secularism FTW but from the inside the jaali-work does make it distinctly Islamic.
